"My members look forward to certain special events each golf season on Cape Cod, with ESPN being one of the highlights. We run an open event and do attract some non-members, but primarily we market to our membership and had 100 players in 2008.

Any PGA professional who would like to offer a first class - three level - event should take a long look at how much they can offer their own players as well as reap the benefits of getting invited to the Pro only event in Las Vegas, which I will have played in twice after this fall.

"For the past two years I have hosted ESPN Golf Challenge local and regional events at my club. I was looking for an event to replace the now defunct Buick Scramble for my club members and believe we have found it. At Rock Spring Club the members love the ESPN tournament format and feel the event provides them good value for their entry fee. This year we are fortunate to have a team going to the National Finals from Rock Spring.

As a host of a regional event (2nd largest in the country), our goal was to make the tournament feel special and first class.

As a participant in the Club Pro event, Wow ! It was the best event I played in last year. The facility at Paiute, the accommodations at Treasure Island, and the officials for ESPN were fantastic. It was a wonderful 3 days and cannot wait to go back this year with a couple more of my NJPGA pros."
